Career Team is hiring an Intake Specialist to process and communicate customer service inflow across intake portals in the Jefferson Parish—Metairie area. This 100% onsite role supports enrollment in WIOA services, with a focus on accurate documentation and responsive customer assistance.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s degree or higher, excel with MS Word/Excel, and can work with diverse communities. A driver’s license is required, bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher or equivalent experience
• Strong communication and knowledge of community resources
• MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, ability to learn databases and software
• Ability to work with diverse customer base and be culturally sensitive
• Experience in customer service and meeting goals
• Background in trauma-informed care/training is a plus
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred
• Valid Driver’s License required

Responsabilités

• Act as a first line of contact with participants interested in enrolling into WIOA services
• Share information on programs and act as a first line of contact with participants interested in enrolling in WIOA services
• Share information on activities and offerings to all interested participants and answer questions
• Collect, respond, and initiate tracking for all submitted applications
• Respond to phone and social media inquiries
• Maintain knowledge of workforce activities across the Greater Memphis area
• Maintain inventory of virtual program orientation completions and match to applicants
• Collect and process uploaded program information for tracking systems
• Respond to inquiries regarding application status
• Track and prepare monthly reports on calls and touchpoints
• Prepare monthly facility access reports for in-person and calls
• Follow policies and regulations related to eligibility documentation
• Approach tasks with a proactive mindset
• Other duties as needed
