Job summary

ShawnTech Communications, Inc. seeks a versatile telecom technician to service inmate technology systems within correctional facilities. responsibilities include maintaining phones, video visitation, and inmate tablets, with daily data entry and on-site support.

You will work independently inside the facility, coordinate with staff and partners, and ensure timely issue resolution while upholding quality service standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in telecommunications including installation, repair, and troubleshooting inmate systems.
• 2 years of experience with computer/network installation and repair.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED; some college courses preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must pass criminal background screens.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service issues with inmate technology systems.
• Maintain, repair, and operate onsite telecoms and networking hardware and wiring in facilities.
• Address basic telephone repair and maintenance needs.
• Meet all service requirements per contract.
• Build and maintain relationships with facility personnel and customer contacts.
• Monitor time and control service-related expenses.
• Deliver services timely to ensure optimal system performance.
• Provide onsite instruction and training for site personnel.
