Job summary

ShawnTech Communications, Inc. is seeking a technically versatile individual to support inmate technologies within correctional facilities. The role involves phones, video visitation systems, inmate tablets, and daily data entry, with strong emphasis on customer service and timely issue resolution.

The candidate will work independently on-site, interact with facility personnel, and travel within assigned areas as needed. Prior telecom wiring, maintenance, and software experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in telecommunications installation, repair, and troubleshooting of inmate systems.
• 2 years with computer/network installation and repair; VLAN knowledge a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; passing background screens required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service inmate technology systems, including phones, video visitation, and Wi‑Fi.
• Maintain onsite telecom hardware, networking gear, access points, and wiring at facilities.
• Provide daily data entry and onsite instruction/training as needed.
• Meet all service requirements per contract and build relationships with facility staff and vendors.
• Monitor service-related expenses and ensure timely problem resolution.
