Maersk in Hesperia, CA is seeking an Associate People Partner to serve as the front-line HR presence for the site. You will partner with facility leaders and frontline colleagues to resolve day-to-day people matters, ensure consistent policy application, and support onboarding and offboarding processes on site.

This role emphasizes employee relations, performance management, wage and hour compliance, and training.

Qualifications

Bilingual Spanish required; strong HR foundation and ethics.
Union experience with frontline and represented staff is required.
Bachelor's degree in HR/Business/Organizational Development or related field; certification preferred (CPHR).

Responsibilities

Be the first point of contact for employee matters, including leave, harassment, investigations, and terminations.
Conduct investigations, gather statements and recommend next steps.
Ensure wage and hour compliance and accurate postings.
Support policy implementation and department goals across site operations.
Oversee performance management processes and corrective actions.
Coach managers on employee-related issues and succession planning.
Coordinate headcount planning and temporary staffing with facility leaders.
Assist in developing HR-focused policies and training programs.
Handle offboarding procedures and exit interviews; support EEOC hearings as needed.
