Job summary

Aston Carter is hiring a full-time HR Generalist in Flint, MI. You will serve as the main HR contact for employees and supervisors, handling employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and policy administration in a fast-paced, employee-intensive environment.

You will partner with managers to address workplace concerns, support organizational changes, and continuously improve HR processes. This onsite role offers a stable schedule, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to influence HR programs

Qualifications

• 2+ years of broad HR experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Experience in employee relations, including investigations and disciplinary documentation.
• Experience with full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition, including job postings and interviews.
• Onboarding and offboarding processes experience.
• Experience supporting performance management, including coaching and documentation.
• Knowledge of HR policies, processes, and HR administration.
• Strong administrative and clerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work with confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel or spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees, support staff, and supervisors; advise on HR policies and employment matters.
• Handle workplace concerns and ensure timely, fair resolution.
• Support employee relations by documenting concerns and assisting investigations.
• Develop accurate, compelling job descriptions with hiring managers.
• Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities and candidate communication.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for new hires and departures.
• Maintain and update HR policies and the employee handbook.
