Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking an on-site Human Resource Generalist in Shelby, Ohio. You will support daily HR operations, recruit and onboard, handle employee relations, compensation, and training, while promoting safety and productivity on the shop floor.

The role requires HR experience in a distribution/manufacturing setting, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and Workday. Competitive benefits and a salary range of $62,200 to $100,200 annually are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree with HR focus.
• 3–5 years HR experience, employee relations.
• Experience in distribution/ manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict-management skills.
• MS Office; Workday experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR operations and manage HR programs, Talent Development, and policies for the business.
• Provide support to Employee Relations, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Engagement and Training.
• Represent employee advocacy and strong business partner relations.
• Develop an employee-oriented culture emphasizing safety, quality, improvement, and productivity.
• Coordinate recruitment strategies including sourcing, interviews, selection, and background checks.
• Assist in Payroll administration and time/attendance in the HRIS system.
• Support training, orientation facilitation, and employee recognition/events.
• Participate in HR-related projects and cross-functional working groups.
