Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Shelby, OH is seeking an on-site Human Resource Generalist to support daily HR operations, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and payroll administration. You will partner with managers to foster a safe, productive workplace and coordinate training and recognition events.

The role requires 3–5 years in HR, a bachelor’s or associate degree, strong MS Office skills, and Workday/UKG familiarity. Competitive salary and full benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associates degree required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources employee relations.
• Experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office Suite proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel) required.
• Workday experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of the HR department and manage HR programs, Talent Development, and policies and procedures for the business.
• Provide support to all major HR functions such as Employee Relations, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Engagement and Training.
• Represent employee advocacy and strong business partner relations.
• Develop an employee-oriented culture focused on safety, quality, continuous improvement, and productivity.
• Work with employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve employee relations issues.
• Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures.
• Reinforce Open Door Policy across leadership.
• Coordinate recruitment strategies including sourcing, interviewing, diversity initiatives, background checks, and manpower planning.
• Support Payroll administration by reviewing time and attendance in UKG Workforce Pro.
• Assist training, orientation, and employee recognition/events.
