Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking an on-site Human Resources Business Partner in Chesterfield, MI to partner with SEF and site leaders.

You will develop HR programs, oversee labor relations, compensation, benefits, learning and safety, and drive employee engagement across the facility. The role emphasizes talent management, change leadership, and continuous improvement, with a focus on building strong relationships, confidentiality, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience.
• Working knowledge of employment law and industry best practices.
• Proven track record of building strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization.
• Must possess excellent communication, influencing, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Results-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize and complete projects.
• Must be professional and customer focused.
• Ability to manage confidentiality at all levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Workday a plus!

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate site HR policies across employment, labor relations, compensation, training, safety, and benefits.
• Talent Management Planning and Analysis: apply strategic talent solutions to retention and growth.
• Manage site compensation, rewards, and recognition aligning with total rewards strategy.
• Drive employee engagement and clear communications across the facility.
• Provide HR counsel on performance management, investigations, mediation, coaching.
• Support workforce planning and hourly recruiting to meet production needs.
• Assess training needs and implement training solutions.
• Act as change agent and drive process standardization and automation.
