Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our hybrid Towson, MD team. You will partner with Engineering leaders to align people strategies with business priorities and manage HR across ~300 employees, guiding performance, development, onboarding, and organizational change.

The role demands strong HR practice knowledge and collaboration with Centers of Excellence. The position supports merit planning, performance reviews, and payroll/benefits coordination while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5–7 years HR experience in Manager/BP/generalist roles.
• Hybrid work arrangement: on-site in Towson, MD Tue–Thu.
• Experience supporting Engineering/technical groups preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, performance management, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic HR partner for Engineering leaders and ~300 employees.
• Support annual HR processes such as merit planning and performance reviews.
• Advise leaders on performance mgmt, development planning, and org effectiveness.
• Facilitate onboarding, internal movement, promotions, and organizational changes.
• Collaborate on compensation, benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, and training support.
• Lead or support change management initiatives and use HR metrics for decisions.
