Job summary

Element Fleet Management is seeking a Compliance Specialist to support vehicle deployment programs in San Francisco. You will manage high-volume documentation, registrations, permits, and inventory while ensuring audit-ready records and timely compliance decisions.

The role requires event coordination with internal teams, client stakeholders, agencies, and vendors, plus strong judgment and attention to detail to reduce risk and delays.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated, deadline-driven operations.
• Judgement to keep complex documentation workflows accurate and moving.
• Experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders in a high-visibility client environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage intake, validation, scanning, secure storage, and chain-of-custody controls for vehicle documents.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and tracking data, investigate discrepancies, and escalate risks with recommendations.
• Coordinate registrations, renewals, transfers, and permits across jurisdictions, checking packages and resolving missing requirements.
• Prepare and quality-check vehicle-specific compliance packets, ensuring readiness for deployment.
• Coordinate packaging, labeling, shipping, and tracking, resolving exceptions affecting onsite or downstream operations.
• Receive, reconcile, safeguard, and track license plates and compliance inventory for audit readiness.
• Communicate status updates, blockers, action items, and resolution plans with client contacts and vendors.
