Job summary

Metropolitan Water District of Southern California seeks a Fleet Coordinator to partner with the Fleet Unit Manager across multiple locations, managing a large vehicle fleet and assets. The role emphasizes data analysis, regulatory compliance, and fleet performance improvements.

You will coordinate maintenance tracking, training staff, and evaluating assets, with a hybrid schedule. Strong CMMS knowledge and hands-on fleet experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience.
• Experience with fleet maintenance, equipment utilization, dispatching, acquisition, and salvaging of light and heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of CMMS tools such as Maximo, FleetIO, AssetWorks, Samsara for scheduling, tracking, and optimizing fleet performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual Operating Equipment review and support vehicle specifications and in-service processes.
• Maintain accurate computerized maintenance records and track fleet financials, warranties, and recalls.
• Administer driver evaluations and deliver safety and maintenance training to staff and stakeholders.
• Audit maintenance programs and consult on equipment repairs and spare parts.
• Conduct site visits to ensure regulatory and safety compliance across all locations.
• Collaborate with managers and technicians to monitor preventive maintenance schedules and operational efficiency.
