Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) seeks a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and overhaul industrial rotating equipment on customer sites across North America and beyond. You will lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls, applying advanced tools and strict safety protocols while delivering an unmatched customer experience.

You’ll collaborate with experienced technicians, travel as needed, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on experience with rotating industrial equipment.
Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer-facing communication.
Willingness to travel, work overtime, and on-call as needed.
Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment with laser alignments.
Perform precision alignment and set critical air gaps and mechanical seals to OEM specs.
Use precision tools to diagnose wear and verify tolerances.
Replace bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components.
Conduct diagnostic tests using Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO.
Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment using bead/ice blasting and solvents.
Work safely, independently or in a team to meet project goals.
