Job summary

ABB is seeking a Resident Service Technician to deliver on-site installations, maintenance and repairs at customer locations. You will work closely with the Service Center Manager-West Region to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include field service tasks, identifying improvements, and preparing material lists while traveling up to 15% for training and site coverage. A related degree with experience or substantial work history is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field with 5+ years experience required.
• Or HS diploma/GED with 7+ years related experience.
• Experience with electrical test equipment such as voltmeters or multi-meters.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot up to 240 VAC/870 VDC.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% for training and site support.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs per work instructions.
• Deliver high-quality technical support and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify improvement opportunities with customers and communicate timelines.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability of parts and equipment.
