Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Resident Service Technician to deliver high-quality technical support at customer sites. The role involves installations, maintenance, and repairs of QCS equipment, with on-site work and travel up to 15% for training and site support.

You will read electrical drawings, troubleshoot up to 240 VAC/870 VDC, and ensure parts availability. A related technical degree or equivalent military experience is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field and 5+ years of electrical/electronics, instrumentation or process control related work/military experience OR HS diploma/GED with 7+ years of related work/military experience.
• Ability to use voltmeters or multi-meters.
• Read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 240 VAC/870 VDC.
• Travel up to 15% for training and site support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality technical support and service to customers on installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer operations while on-site.
• Perform field service tasks and analyze issues remotely or on-site.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability of parts and equipment for service activities.
