Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance on electrical distribution equipment from a remote location. You will interact with customers to schedule work, order materials, and ensure safety analyses are completed before field work.

You will lead hands-on project execution, including startup, commissioning, and repair of Power Delivery equipment, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology, preference Electrical or Mechanical.
• 2 years of field engineering or equivalent (military) experience preferred.
• Ability to travel approx. 75% and hold valid passport & driver's license.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, Word; strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment.
• Coordinate with customers to schedule jobs and materials; prepare safety analyses and paperwork.
• Lead hands-on execution of projects: startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, and repair of Power Delivery equipment.
• Prepare technical reports, quotations, job status updates, and time/expense sheets.
