Job summary
Cognizant is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Detroit, MI to provide onsite desktop support across office and factory environments, covering AV and mobility management, break/fix, and deployment support for laptops, rugged devices, printers, scanners, and conference room A/V systems.
You will handle incidents via ITSM, leverage SCCM, Nexthink, and IT Shop for endpoint visibility, and perform Windows and basic network troubleshooting to restore services quickly.
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of onsite desktop support experience in office and factory environments.
- Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and basic networking skills.
- Experience with AV equipment and mobility management.
- Hands-on support for laptops/desktops, rugged factory devices, printers, handheld scanners, and conference room A/V systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and resolve issues for AV equipment and collaboration tools.
- Provide mobile device setup and incident support.
- Hands-on onsite support for laptops/desktops, rugged factory devices, printers, scanners, and conference room A/V systems.
- Monitor ticket queues and assign tickets via ITSM tools.
- Perform incident management, RCA, and prevention initiatives.
- Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
- Use SCCM, IT Shop, and Nexthink for endpoint visibility and efficiency.
- Apply Windows and basic network troubleshooting to restore services.
