Job summary

Via is seeking a Field Manager to lead daily onsite operations in New Jersey, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders. This hands-on role requires you to be in the field 4–5 days per week and to own performance, driver coordination, and city-partner collaboration.

You will use data to diagnose issues, make quick decisions, support drivers, and turn feedback into improvements that enhance rider experience and service quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in people management, logistics, or customer service.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Hands-on, field-focused with proactive problem solving.
• Able to think both tactically and strategically.
• Motivated by expanding access to transportation.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily onsite operations of our service, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation.
• Make real-time decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, rider needs and issues.
• Guide and support drivers, building trust and ensuring they can deliver great service.
• Translate rider and community feedback into actionable improvements.
• Use data and technology to diagnose performance and implement efficiency improvements.
• Serve as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, and Via central teams.
