Job summary

Via seeks a Field Manager on its Student Transit team in Seattle. This is a fully in-person role with the expectation of onsite work 4–5 days per week.

You will run daily operations to ensure safe, reliable student transportation for communities. You will make real-time decisions on driver supply and student needs, support drivers, and translate feedback into improvements using data to boost efficiency and rider experience.

Qualifications

• Operational experience in people management, logistics, or service delivery.
• Strong relationship-building and clear communication.
• Hands-on, field-centered, proactive problem-solving.
• Strategic thinker with ability to address both immediate and long-term needs.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily onsite operations of our service to provide safe, reliable transportation for students.
• Make informed, real-time decisions about driver supply, compliance, student needs, and unexpected issues.
• Guide and support drivers, building trust and ensuring high-quality service for students and families.
• Turn student and district feedback into tangible improvements and collaborate with internal teams to act on patterns.
• Use data and technology to understand service performance and implement efficiency improvements.
• Act as a key operational bridge between school partners, drivers, and Via central teams to support growth in the market.
