Job summary

Via seeks a Field Manager on the Student Transit team to oversee daily onsite operations, ensuring safe and reliable transport for students and families. You’ll decide driver supply, compliance, and student needs in real time, guide drivers, and turn feedback into actionable improvements.

You’ll use data to diagnose issues and collaborate with Via teams to grow service in your market. Based in California, this role is fully in-person, with 4–5 days onsite, offering a competitive compensation

Qualifications

• Operational experience in people management, logistics, or customer service.
• Hands-on and proactive in the field.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Run daily onsite operations to ensure safe, reliable, accessible transport.
• Make real-time decisions on driver supply, compliance, and student needs.
• Guide and support drivers, building trust and delivering great service.
• Turn student and district feedback into tangible operational improvements.
• Use data to diagnose issues and implement efficiency improvements.
• Act as the operations bridge between schools, drivers, and Via teams.
