Job summary

W.E. O’Neil is hiring an Assistant Superintendent to support the Senior Project Superintendent and manage field activities on a range of projects in Austin, Texas.

The role requires coordination of schedules, safety programs, procurement, and field inspections to ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery. The successful candidate will have a construction-related degree or equivalent field experience, plus strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• . Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience, or 3-5 years field experience.
• . Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• . Familiarity with scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Superintendent, Project Superintendent or other assigned supervisors on a large project team.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules and eight-week look aheads.
• Develop and enforce project site safety programs and conduct safety meetings.
• Coordinate and manage material procurement and deliveries.
• Coordinate field inspections and testing; ensure projects stay on track.
• Read, understand and enforce subcontracts and associated exhibits.
