Job summary

Empower AI is seeking a Field Support Technician - Onsite Anchor in Linthicum, MD. This salaried, on-site role requires serving as the IT decision-maker for assigned DoW agency sites, handling desktops, printers, mobile devices, and network issues, with travel up to 25%.

You will determine resolutions, execute STIG-compliant deployments, coordinate with remote teams, and ensure proper asset lifecycle actions while maintaining strong customer service and security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with related experience as stated.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active Secret Clearance to start (TS/SCI eligibility after start may be required).
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline certification required before cyber duties.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site IT decision-maker for regional locations and incidents.
• Determine if issues are local or require remote Tier II/III, and coordinate resolution.
• Plan deployment/refresh for site workstations with STIG-compliant images.
• Assess printers, VoIP, VTC, and conference equipment and coordinate actions.
• Oversee mobile device onboarding and MDM enrollment per policy.
• Review asset records and advise on refresh/deployment/disposition.
• Verify resolutions before ticket closure and document procedures.
