Job summary

Empower AI seeks an on-site Field Support Technician - Anchor to act as the IT decision-maker for regional DoW locations. Independent work, troubleshooting desktops, printers, mobile devices, and networks, with routine vendor coordination and remote escalation when needed. Travel up to 25% is expected in support of a government contract.

The role requires DoD security readiness, STIG imaging, and asset management with strong customer service and communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience (or substitute as noted).
U.S. Citizenship and an Active Secret Clearance to start.
Willing to obtain TS/SCI eligibility if required by mission needs.
Must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline certification.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Experience in desktop support, field service, or IT hardware installation.
Strong Windows 10/11, hardware, peripherals, and networking basics.

Responsibilities

Serve as on-site IT decision-maker for regional locations with no on-site supervision.
Determine resolution path and coordinate remote/local support as needed.
Plan workstation deployment/refresh, imaging, data migration, and user scheduling.
Troubleshoot printers, mobile devices, networks, and AV equipment with vendor/engineering coordination.
Assess asset records, inventory, and lifecycle actions; document resolutions.
Travel within region up to 25% and communicate with remote teams regularly.
