Empower AI in Arlington, VA is seeking a Field Support Technician - Onsite Anchor to serve as the on-site IT decision-maker for regional and field locations of a Department of War agency supported by an enterprise IT Customer Support Services program.

The role requires travel within the region (up to 25%), independent problem solving, and robust desktop/mobile support skills, with a focus on STIG-compliant imaging, asset management, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1 year related experience; substitutions allowed.
U.S. Citizen with Active Secret Clearance.
Must obtain TS/SCI eligibility after start if required by mission needs.
Must be within investigation scope / Continuous Vetting.
Must have DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline cert before cybersecurity duties.
Experience in desktop support or IT hardware installation.
Strong Windows 10/11, hardware, peripherals, networking skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as the on-site IT decision-maker for assigned locations, analyzing incidents to determine root cause and resolution.
Determine if issues can be resolved locally or require remote or vendor involvement; coordinate resolution.
Determine deployment/refresh approach for site workstations and image/config services accordingly.
Assess printers, VoIP, VTC, and conference room equipment; coordinate with vendors/engineering as needed.
Evaluate mobile device onboarding and MDM enrollment actions within policy.
Review asset records, identify discrepancies, and recommend lifecycle actions.
Ensure resolutions fully address customer needs and document site procedures for reuse.
Assess site conditions and security posture; report findings to remote teams.
