Job summary

Maritz is seeking an onsite events coordinator in Sunnyvale, CA. The role focuses on managing day-of logistics, coordinating with vendors, and delivering outstanding event experiences for clients and guests.

You will lead staff briefings, oversee registrations, and assist with crisis planning, while partnering with teams to craft tailored solutions and ensure seamless, memorable events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years in meeting/event management or related field.
• Ability to learn new technology solutions and work with multiple systems.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with G Suite and Microsoft Office; adaptable to new tools.
• Comfortable in an agile, changing environment.
• Physically capable of onsite demands (standing, lifting).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary onsite contact for events, coordinating with catering, AV, security, and transportation partners.
• Provide day-of-event support, including on-call or onsite presence, demos, and documenting surveys/photos.
• Conduct staff meetings, space walkthroughs, and briefings as needed.
• Manage onsite logistics for registration, rooms, hospitality, meals, activities, meetings, tech, VIPs.
• Implement crisis management procedures and maintain clear communication plans.
• Serve as liaison to clients for onsite event logistics and update stakeholders on changes.
• Collaborate with teams to define solutions and ensure optimal client/event experiences.
