Job summary

Maritz is seeking an Onsite Event Specialist to lead end-to-end event execution at client sites. You will be the primary onsite contact, coordinating with catering, AV, security, and transportation partners to ensure flawless service delivery.

This role requires hands-on event support, including demos, surveys, and documentation, while managing on-site logistics and VIP interactions. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2+ years in event management, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in meeting/event management or a related industry.
• Ability to learn new technology solutions and work with multiple systems.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in G Suite and Microsoft Office tools with the ability to learn new technology quickly.
• Ability to thrive in an agile, continuously changing environment.
• Physical ability to handle onsite demands, including standing and lifting.
• Nice to Have: experience leading a team; VIP/high-touch event management experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary onsite contact for events, coordinating with catering, AV, security, and transportation partners.
• Provide day‑of‑event support, including on‑call/onsite coverage, product demos, and capturing surveys/photos.
• Conduct staff meetings, space walkthroughs, and briefings as needed.
• Manage onsite logistics for registration, rooms, hospitality desk, F&B, activities, meetings, technology, and VIP handling.
• Implement crisis management procedures and ensure communication plans are in place.
• Serve as liaison to clients for onsite event logistics and keep stakeholders informed of changes.
• Collaborate with teams to define solutions and ensure the best event experience for clients and guests.
