Job summary

CASCADA PDX LLC in Portland seeks an Event Planning / Conference Services Manager to own end-to-end programs for confirmed groups and events, from planning through on-site execution and post-event closeout.

You will lead client communications, coordinate with departments, ensure room, AV, catering, and billing accuracy, and maintain a proactive, hands-on presence to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning and conference services preferred.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Hands-on, onsite presence with proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of each confirmed event from receipt to client contact and billing.
• Lead planning calls, manage deadlines, and coordinate with planners and departments.
• Develop and maintain event timelines covering arrivals, setup, meals, breaks, activities, and departures.
• Inspect spaces pre-function for cleanliness, configuration, AV readiness, signage, and equipment.
• Coordinate pre-conference meetings and manage last-minute changes and service recovery.
