Job summary

Encore is seeking a part-time Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hotel environment, ensuring guest satisfaction. The role reports to the Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology, with responsibilities spanning equipment setup, on-site client interaction, and on-going support during events.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service experience, basic AV knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and work with others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for team members operating Company vehicles.
• DOT requirements may apply if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate basic audiovisual equipment for events in a hospitality environment.
• Exceed client expectations through proactive customer service and on-site coordination.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues promptly and professionally.
• Complete equipment sheets, enter orders, and coordinate with staff and vendors.
• Assist with invoice finalization and floor up-selling to increase revenue.
