Job summary

Specialty Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Help Desk Administrator to support DoD operations at Joint Base MDL-Lakehurst.

This onsite role follows a compressed schedule: four 9-hour days Mon–Thu, and a Fri 8-hour day in week one, then four 9-hour days with the second Friday off for a 3-day weekend. The position requires 3+ years IT support, Security+ or ability to obtain within 60 days, and an active Secret clearance or interim clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT support experience, 2+ years troubleshooting/fault isolation.
• CompTIA Security+ required or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Must complete SAAR-/PAA access documentation.
• Must meet SECNAV M‑5239.2 and DoD 8140 cyber workforce requirements.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain interim Secret clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user IT support and help desk services.
• Create, manage, and resolve support tickets from start to finish.
• Troubleshoot Windows 11 workstation and Office 365/Teams issues.
• Perform network fault isolation and basic network troubleshooting.
• Support remote users with connectivity and system access issues.
• Apply system patches and assist with maintaining cybersecurity posture.
• Follow DISA STIGs and basic system-hardening standards.
• Ensure compliance with DoD cyber requirements and documentation processes.
