Job summary

Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Level I Desktop Technician to provide onsite support at our New Castle, DE site. You will resolve basic hardware and software issues on laptops, desktops, tablets, and printers, and assist with account management and documentation.

This role requires effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to prioritize tasks; knowledge of Windows OS and MS Office; prior desk-side support experience preferred; salary is hourly and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases and security concepts.
• Desktop and/or Infrastructure support experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures.
• Performs service, repair and installation of computer products and peripherals.
• Manages user accounts and permissions, and performs password resets.
• Keeps accurate notes and updates in ticketing systems; communicates status to users.
• Escalates complex issues to L2 support when needed.
• Works collaboratively across the organization.
