Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Level II Desktop Technician to provide onsite support in San Antonio, Texas. You will diagnose hardware, software, and systems issues, manage endpoints and printers, and assist with server or network-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Knowledge of the assigned area.
• Desktop and/or infrastructure support experience.
• Account-specific training or certification.
• Technical writing competency.
• Cloud & SaaS services competency.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses failures in hardware, software, and systems using established procedures.
• Performs service, repair, and installation of computer products including printers, PCs, laptops, tablets, and networks.
• Manages user accounts and permissions; resets passwords as needed.
• Keeps detailed notes in ticketing systems to track issues and actions.
• Communicates with customers across technical levels to provide status updates.
• Escalates complex issues to appropriate support groups per SOPs.
• Follows SOPs and uses knowledge management for issue resolution.
• Collaborates with teams across the organization.
