Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Desktop Support Engineer in Buffalo Grove, IL to provide hands-on IT helpdesk support for end users. You will troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and AV equipment while delivering strong customer service.

The role emphasizes effective communication with users of varying technical levels, onboarding/offboarding, asset management, and collaboration with security and infrastructure teams. On-site only, contract-to-hire.

Qualifications

Comfortable supporting Windows, Office 365, and AV systems.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft 365, printers, conferencing tech, and endpoints.
Support conference rooms and audiovisual technologies for meetings.
Manage device deployments, hardware replacements, and onboarding/offboarding.
Use ServiceNow to document, track, and resolve incidents and requests.
Support Apple and Windows devices in a corporate environment.
Configure mobile devices, Teams, and collaboration tools.
Maintain asset inventory and technical documentation.
Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to escalate complex issues.
Participate in on-call support as needed.
