Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Desktop Support Technician / Desktop Engineer for a long-term onsite contract at the Little Sandy Correctional Complex in Sandy Hook, KY. You will support ~275 devices in a Windows environment, handling installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and related systems.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of experience in Desktop Support, Help Desk, Field Support, or a related technical support role
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software in a Windows environment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide onsite technical support to end users and staff
• Experience supporting servers, network infrastructure, or security camera systems (preferred)
• Familiarity with enterprise desktop management and support tools (preferred)
• Prior experience supporting government, public sector, or secured environments (preferred)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to document incidents, service requests, and resolutions accurately

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers in a Windows-based environment
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues
• Provide onsite technical support to facility staff and end users
• Perform device repairs, upgrades, and equipment replacements as needed
• Assist with support and maintenance of security camera systems, servers, and network switches
• Utilize enterprise desktop management and support tools as needed
• Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions accurately
• Ensure compliance with facility security protocols and procedures
