Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Engineer Intern to join our on-site IT team in Hooksett, New Hampshire. You will provide hands-on support to keep end users productive and devices running smoothly, primarily in a client office environment.

The internship lasts 9 months to 1 year, starting in October 2026, with an hourly rate of $25.00 per hour—commensurate with experience and qualifications. You will work 20 hours per week on-site, five days a week, aligning with project needs.

Qualifications

• Currently attending a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university, pursuing a STEM major.
• Availability to work part-time, 20 hours per week (5 days a week, 4 hours a day), onsite.
• A high level of quality and strong attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between HQ and Retail locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite hardware support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Provide onsite printer support including label printers, mobile printers, receipt printers, and toners.
• Configure new desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals according to SOPs.
• Review knowledge base and SOPs, update outdated SOPs and create new ones.
