Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Engineer Intern to deliver hands-on, onsite technical support, keeping end users productive and devices running smoothly. You’ll join an internal IT team and collaborate with client site staff to resolve hardware and printer issues.

The role requires 20 hours per week onsite at our Hooksett, NH offices, with a 9-month to 1-year internship starting October 2026. Ideal candidates are pursuing STEM majors and have strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Currently attending a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university, pursuing a STEM major.
• Availability to work part-time, 20 hours per week onsite.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between HQ and Retail locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for basic hardware-related issues with desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Provide onsite support for printer-related issues and requests, including label printers, mobile printers, receipt printers, and toners.
• Configure new desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals according to standard operating procedures.
• Review knowledge base and SOPs, update outdated SOPs and create new SOPs for defined processes.
