Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Engineer Intern to provide hands-on, onsite IT support that keeps end users productive and devices running smoothly. You will be part of the internal IT team and collaborate with client site staff at Hooksett, NH.

The internship is onsite five days a week in Hooksett, NH, with a 20-hour weekly schedule (4 hours/day). Start in October 2026 for 9–12 months, including configuring desktops and printers and updating SOPs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university and major in STEM.
• Ability to work part-time, 20 hours per week onsite.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between HQ and Retail locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for basic hardware issues with desktops, laptops and peripherals.
• Provide onsite support for printer-related issues and requests (label printers, mobile printers, receipt printers, toners).
• Configure new desktops, laptops and peripherals per SOPs.
• Review and update SOPs and knowledge base content as processes evolve.
