Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a seasoned project operations engineer to support xPL Offsite OSM on a Dallas project. You will coordinate planning, engineering, VDC coordination, and generate basic financial reports while providing onsite delivery coordination and material hand-offs with vendors and the project team.

You will manage submittals, RFIs, and documentation, maintain schedules aligned with CIL, and ensure proper handling of chain-of-custody for deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/engineering with ≥3 years in manufacturing or construction.
• Field construction/engineering exp with scheduling knowledge.
• Ability to interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, scopes, and schedule.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Willingness to travel 90–100%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with xPL management to identify issues and develop resolution plans.
• Maintain project documentation with photos, meeting minutes, engineering docs, shop drawings, etc.
• Coordinate delivery schedule aligned with Contract Items List (CIL).
• Manage submittals, transmittals, and RFIs for deliverables and variances.
• Review procurement and engineering packages to understand scope.
• Record and manage PCOs and onsite analysis; report findings to management.
• Generate and deliver project reports on schedule, material, and engineering status.
• Facilitate site readiness including transport, delivery methods, and receiving requirements.
• Conduct inventory of xPL deliveries and obtain chain of custody signatures.
• Ensure storage areas meet environmental requirements for deliveries.
• Conduct material reinspection for extended storage periods.
• Support delay back charges and claims documentation.
• Assist in collecting vendor/integrator close-out docs.
• Participate in safety and other duties as assigned.
• Other duties as required.
