Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks an Asst. Superintendent to independently supervise a section of trade contractors on a high-value project. You will oversee daily field operations, maintain schedules, and ensure safety and quality across teams.

We value a self-driven leader who can mentor junior staff, collaborate with the project team, and drive results. On-site work, with strong emphasis on planning and safety culture throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 4–8 years of experience on $15–$30M+ commercial/industrial construction projects in a superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certified; STS-C; First Aid/CPR/AED; Stop the Bleed training.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade partners and subs to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Develops and communicates field work plans and changes.
• Maintains contract documents and anticipates potential problems.
• Leads contractor meetings and maintains daily reports and project schedule.
• Ensures safety and maintains a positive, inclusive work environment.
