Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a General Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a project up to $100M. This on-site role requires coordinating trade contractors, managing budgets and schedules, and leading safety efforts daily on the job site.

You will guide a team, communicate effectively with owners and trades, and ensure adherence to contract documents while driving Gilbane’s standards for quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10–15 years of experience on $30–$100M commercial/industrial projects in a lead superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and subcontractors to meet the project schedule.
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Develops, documents, and communicates the work plan for field changes.
• Maintains contract documents and anticipates potential problems.
• Ensures safety compliance and serves as primary safety representative in the field.
• Develops safety strategies and drives safety culture across project personnel.
• Plans, coordinates, and manages jobsite logistics and sequencing.
• Trains direct reports and leads project meetings with stakeholders.
• Maintains daily reports and project documentation.
