D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the South community team in Joliet. The role involves assisting the Superintendent with daily site management, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety, and maintaining schedules to deliver homes on time.

You will conduct homeowner walkthroughs, manage inspections, and help enforce company standards. A valid driver’s license and strong communication are essential, with opportunities for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license; travel among construction sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read plans and other construction documents.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsabilités

• Inspect each home daily to assure quality workmanship and alignment with schedule.
• Schedule and walk inspections with inspectors.
• Walk completed homes before homeowner walk-through and closing sign-off.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and additional walks for satisfaction.
• Aid Superintendent in managing subcontractors for quality, safety, cost control.
