Job summary

CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our construction client in recruiting an onsite Accounts Receivable professional with AIA billing experience to support financial management of commercial projects from setup to closeout.

The role partners with Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, and Leadership to ensure accurate job costing, forecasting, and project profitability. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in project accounting with AIA billing and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of project accounting experience within construction or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, AIA billing, WIP reporting, retainage, change orders, and forecasting.
• Experience with Vista/Viewpoint and construction platforms such as Procore, Textura, or GCPay.
• Understanding of certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage job costing, budget tracking, reconciliations, and cost-to-complete forecasting.
• Prepare and process AIA billings, change orders, retainage, and project invoicing.
• Monitor accounts receivable, payments, and collections.
• Review contracts, subcontracts, invoices, lien waivers, and insurance docs.
• Track labor allocation, certified payroll, and WIP reporting for projects.
• Prepare forecasts, variance analyses, and financial reports for teams and leadership.
• Maintain project accounting records in Vista/Viewpoint and related workflows.
• Support closeouts, final billings, retainage collection, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with operations to improve processes and financial accuracy.
