Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community under the Community Manager's supervision.

You will manage delinquency, rent collection, budgeting, leasing, and staff supervision to ensure compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines. Onsite leadership and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in housing.
• Ability to perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income from applicants, residents, and others accurately.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt including late notices and evictions.
• Help property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and NOI.
• Post charges to accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Complete end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized records and audit resident files.
• Walk units, post move-out charges and security deposits.
• Lead onsite staff through training, coaching, and guidance.
• Ensure policy compliance and effective staff performance.
