Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager in Abilene, TX to support the Community Manager in daily operations and financial functions. You will oversee leasing, maintenance, and risk management while ensuring compliance with company policies and fair housing guidelines.

Responsibilities include posting payments, reconciling receivables, maintaining records, and helping achieve budgeted revenues and NOI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years housing industry experience.
• Ability to use onsite software; basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately and timely.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt and issue late notices, resident and guarantor contact.
• Help meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Perform end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records; audit resident files for accuracy.
• Show, lease, and move-in prospective residents; manage move-out charges.
