Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions at a housing community under the Community Manager's supervision. You will drive rent collection and cash flow optimization while supervising staff and ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing.

The role requires managing operations, leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk management, with emphasis on staff development and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately, timely, and efficiently.
• Process and reconcile daily all accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt; prepare late notices, contact residents/guarantors, file evictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident accounts; bill back utilities where applicable; close end-of-month procedures and reporting.
• Maintain records; audit resident files for accuracy.
• Walk units and post move-out charges, statements, and security deposits.
