Job summary

Greystar in San Antonio, TX, seeks an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in financial and operational tasks for a residential community.

You will handle rent collection, deposits, reporting, and vendor invoices, while using Yardi/OneSite to maintain data integrity and lease enforcement. The role includes on-site supervision and coordinating maintenance to uphold Greystar standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Communications, or related field.
• 1–3 years minimum of relevant experience in residence life or property management.
• Understanding of lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections.

Responsibilities

• Collects and posts rent and payments, prepares deposits, reconciles bank accounts, and processes invoices.
• Operates property management software (Yardi/OneSite) accurately and backs up data.
• Reviews resident accounts to identify unpaid balances, communicates with residents, and enforces lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Reviews invoices from vendors, codes charges, and coordinates approvals with the community manager.
• Follows standard eviction procedures and represents the community in court when required.
• Manages move-outs, deposits, and lease terminations per policy and legal requirements.
• Responds to resident questions promptly to promote satisfaction and retention.
• Acts as on-site supervisor in the manager’s absence and coordinates maintenance and repairs.
• Supports leasing and marketing: greeting prospects, tours, applications, and credit checks.
