Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Wellesley, MA is seeking a full-time Clinic/Practice Assistant to support the internal medicine/adult primary care practice on-site from 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. This role combines administrative duties with basic clinical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will welcome patients, schedule appointments, handle check-in/out, billing forms, and coordinate with care teams while maintaining accurate records in the system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Office experience 2-3 years required.
• Experience in outpatient setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service or physician practice office.
• Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
• Greet and assist patients.
• Answer telephones, assist callers with routine inquiries, and schedule appointments.
• Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record/LMR.
• Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and verify registrations.
• Assist in patient flow processes and maintain accurate records.
