Job summary

Astreya is seeking an AV Technician I to join our onsite team with a global client in Mountain View, CA. You will support corporate AV/VC environments, analyze problems quickly using diagnostic skills, and assist with high-profile event setups, audio, video, and conferencing technology.

Responsibilities include installation of AV equipment, cabling, pre-event checks, liaising with cross-functional teams, managing inventory, and ensuring SLA delivery.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years related experience or training
• Ability to work independently
• Strong wiring/termination and AV installation techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of all AV equipment and displays, including audio/video conferencing gear, distributed audio, digital signage, control systems, and presentation systems.
• Install structured cabling: pull/terminate/test Cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI, and audio cables.
• Ensure SLAs and daily deliverables are met; update tickets.
• Upload Crestron control programs to processors; coordinate with remote program team for certification.
• Assist with inventory: weekly/monthly stock levels, RMA returns, DOA issues.
• Follow client policies, standards, or safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot issues during installation; perform equipment setups and pre-event checks.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams and end users during events; interface with vendors.
• Identify and solve issues impacting client conference rooms; perform other duties as required.
