Job summary

Astreya is seeking an AV Technician I to join onsite with our global client base. The role involves supporting corporate AV/VC environments, performing installations, and troubleshooting quickly with strong diagnostic skills.

Travel to client offices is required on occasion. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years’ related experience, with solid wiring/termination and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, 0–2 years of related experience or training.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing client environments.
• Strong understanding of AV wiring, terminations, and installation techniques.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of AV equipment and displays, including conferencing gear and control systems.
• Install structured cabling: cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI, and audio cables.
• Ensure SLAs are met and tickets are updated daily.
• Upload Crestron control programs and coordinate with remote program team for certification.
• Assist with inventory, stock levels, and handling returns and DOA issues.
• Follow client policies, standards, and safety guidelines.
• Assist with problem solving and troubleshooting during installations.
• Set up equipment for events, perform breakdowns, and conduct pre-event checks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and end users before and during events.
• Interface with vendors to address requests and requirements and fix conference room issues.
