Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an AV Onsite Support Technician in Syracuse, NY. The role focuses on hands-on support for classroom and collaboration technology across a university campus.

You will troubleshoot AV issues, perform maintenance, and assist with installations and upgrades in classrooms, auditoriums, labs, and collaboration spaces. You will work with AV engineers, IT teams, construction groups, and integrators, providing direct technical assistance to faculty, students, and staff, and training

Qualifications

• 3+ years of AV experience or related tech roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Extron products and control systems.
• Experience supporting classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, or similar spaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on onsite support for commercial AV and classroom technology.
• Troubleshoot Extron products and control systems.
• Diagnose issues with projectors, displays, cameras, microphones, audio equipment and video systems.
• Support classroom presentation systems, lecture capture, video conferencing, and hybrid learning technology.
• Set up, test, operate, and maintain AV equipment.
