Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Project Assistant for onsite support in Cedar Rapids. The role coordinates procurement, kitting, documentation, and peer reviews to ensure timely project delivery.

The candidate will manage shipments, assists engineers, review CDRLs, and liaise with multiple teams to maintain schedules. Strong communication and multitasking are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with SAP, JIRA, Confluence, PREP, SharePoint, Ariba; able to work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Track assets including management of engineering supplies.
• Serve as access focal for engineering teams.
• Lead peer reviews in PREP.
• Track CDRL deliveries to customers.
• Order hardware and kit parts.
• Track lead status through procurement.
• Support weekly hardware status meetings.
• JIRA: Support Risk & Opportunity reviews and lead weekly CCB meetings.
• Facilitate document releases in SCL.
• Create delivery documents and coordinate with shipping department to ensure successful delivery.
• Work with Customer Owned Property for inductions and consumption of material including ordering and tracking.
• Hand carry material between sites as needed.
