Collins Aerospace is seeking a software engineer to help develop state-of-the-art software for our Microelectronics wafer fabrication environment. You will work with multiple disciplines to embed advanced technology into our product portfolio, contributing to requirements, design, implementation, and integration.

The role emphasizes collaboration, agile practices, and hands-on engineering in a fast-paced aerospace context, onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM.
• Experience with software engineering tools including version control and debuggers.
• Experience with SQL and databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server).
• Experience with full lifecycle software development practices and configuration management tools.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop state-of-the-art software systems for the Microelectronics wafer fab.
• Collaborate across disciplines to embed technology into products.
• Contribute to requirements, design, implementation, and software/hardware integration.
• Apply software development best practices and use tools like Jira/Confluence.
